Nonie Gandhi obtained her Master of Science in Nutrition from Meredith College in 2017, and became a Registered Dietitian in 2018 after completing her dietetic internship through Utah State University. Her undergraduate studies focused on neuroscience, where the relationship between the brain and gut led her to focus on nutrition for its tremendous potential in healthcare. Since 2018, she has worked travel contracts, covering ICUs to outpatient counseling; rural health centers to a multi-year contract at Johns Hopkins Hospital. In 2019 she became the first RD to win the American Staffing Association’s annual award for excellence in healthcare. Her love of evidence-based medicine coupled with years of witnessing traditional healthcare’s shortcomings led her here. Nonie chose her clinical specialty for its power and potential to increase people’s agency over their own lives and health, and feels blessed with the opportunity to do this professionally. Outside of work, she enjoys visiting and volunteering at animal sanctuaries, hiking, baking, barre workouts, road trips, spending time with friends and family, and every form of arts and crafts - especially sculpting.
